Can Soilfloc be applied through leaves and vegetation?
While Soilfloc can be used in ponds with leaves and vegetation on the pond bottom
it will be much more effective if the Soilfloc components have clear access to the pond bottom soils.
Actively growing plants can be killed with an aquatic herbicide and then raked from the pond. Accumulated leaves and other debris can be raked from the pond before applying Soilfloc to reduce seepage.
If it isn't possible to remove the leaves and plants,
may still be effective because the material may be drawn into the leaking area.
